The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is the Japanese government’s official trade and investment promotion agency. JETRO has over 74 offices in 56 countries worldwide, with 6 locations in the US: Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. JETRO Chicago serves the Midwest region of the US including the State of Minnesota. We are working to develop a closer business and economic relationship between the dynamic economies of the Midwest and Japan. JETRO is supported by the Japanese government therefore our services are offered free of charge. Annually over 1,000 firms take advantage of JETRO’s support and services, with numerous companies setting up a business presence in Japan. Our experts can assist with the procedural requirements for establishing a business in Japan and introduce you to outside professionals to create and submit the documents on your behalf. HANDS-ON MARKET ENTRY SUPPORT JETRO can provide data on a range of products, services, business and industrial environments, regional enterprises, current market trends and case studies. JETRO can also provide customized estimates on the cost of establishing an office in Japan and comparative cost reports on different geographic regions. ENABLING A SOFT LANDING in JAPAN Companies establishing an office in Japan can make use of free office space at one of JETRO’s six regional Invest Japan Business Support Centers (IBSCs) with full access to qualified service providers in the area of human resources, accounting and payroll, site selection and investment advisory assistance to local governments.
