The Wisconsin Technology Council’s programs connect entrepreneurs, investors, researchers and service professionals in Wisconsin and beyond. They include the Wisconsin Angel Network, the Wisconsin Innovation Network, the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference, the Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium, the Governor’s Business Plan Contest and the Wisconsin Security Research Consortium. The Tech Council is the independent, non-profit science and technology advisory board to the governor and the Legislature. Its publications have spurred a number of state initiatives over time, including the Legislature’s June 2013 creation of a state “fund-of-funds” program matched by private investment dollars. The Tech Council’s board of directors includes tech company owners and managers, angel and venture capitalists, representatives of the state’s major research universities and service professionals who work with tech-based companies. The Tech Council is a partner of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., which is the state’s leading economic development agency.
